October may be the spookiest month of the year, this past month’s overall crime numbers paint a bit of a different picture.  Crime data for the month of October in Forest Park Southeast is largely positive, as it indicates a decrease in overall crime compared to October 2017.  See below for FPSE’s October stats:

    • 10 crimes against persons (8 assaults, 1 rape, 1 robbery)
      • 25.00% increase compared to October 2017 (8 crimes)
    • Crime occurred most frequently on Fridays.
  • 181 total crimes so far in 2018
    • 1.63% decrease compared to this point in 2017 (184 crimes)
      • Decreased:  auto theft, burglary, larceny, robbery
      • Increased: assault, homicide, rape
      • No change: arson
    • 59 crimes against persons so far this year
      • 51.28% increase compared to this point in 2017 (39 crimes)
