This year marks the 10th Annual Grove Fest – St. Louis’ highly anticipated and outrageously eclectic street festival. Grove Fest is celebrates 10 years of debauchery on Saturday, October 3rd between 2:00pm and 10:00pm.
Park Central Development Project Managers Matthew Green and Gelinda Connell have worked for months alongside the Grove Fest committee to bring the biggest and best Grove Fest to St. Louis.
Grove Fest has something for everyone! Family friendly during the day, kids and the young at heart will enjoy the kids and family area. Face painters, puppet shows, a bounce house, live music, pumpkin painting and more will be on tap. Our Fashion Village serves as a runway for a fashion show and a stage for the first Grove Fest Drag-Off and our Bearded Beauty Pageant. International cuisine from Grove restaurants will keep even the hungriest happy. Plus, Urban Chestnut, for the second year in a row, will serve their limited edition Grove Fest beer at two biergartens located along Manchester Avenue.
Grove Fest prides itself on the diversity of entertainment offered. Street performers, including magicians, hoop performers, street musicians and so much more will turn out for the event. The traditional Paint-by-Numbers mural returns to make everyone an artist for the day. Also, two words – Human Foosball. Where else can you do all that?
The Main Stage has full lineup all day long. National acts CHALI 2NA of Jurassic 5 and Saint Motel, plus local favorites Kim Massie, Black James, Summer Osborne, Little Big Bangs, Stone Sugar Shakedown and Blank Generation will be there to entertain.
Grove Fest is a free community event, but does rely on community support for production. This year volunteers will solicit a $5 suggested donation. Funds collected from the suggested donations go right back into the festival and help support the Grove. Everyone that makes a donation will walk away with an exclusive, limited edition bumper sticker designed by Forest Park Southeast resident William Frazier.
This year, Grove Fest thanks the following sponsors for their support: The Grove CID, Urban Chestnut Brewing Company, O’Shay’s Pub, Green Street St. Louis, Jim Butler FIAT, Mangrove Redevelopment, Washington University Medical Center, USA Mortgage, Reliance Bank, Boldt Brothers Building Maintenance, UIC, The Riverfront Times, The Watering Bowl, Sitelines, LLC., Willert Home Products, Saint Louis Football Club, Cortona @Forest Park, Systems Graphics, The Regional Arts Commission, Forest Park South Business Association, Audiobot, Jim Beam, Music Record Shop, Sameem Afghan Restaurant, USA Insulation, The Arch Rival Roller Girls and the Gatekeepers.
