MoDOT will close all westbound lanes on I-64 overnight between Forest Park Avenue and Kingshighway in St. Louis City Friday, April 18.
Crews will close all lanes of the westbound interstate starting at 9 p.m., as well as the ramps from Grand and Market to westbound I-64. Crews will be setting girders over the westbound interstate at the Tower Grove and Boyle bridges.
All lanes and ramps will reopen by 9 a.m. Saturday morning.
To detour around the closure, drivers should use the Forest Park Avenue exit (exit 38A) and follow Forest Park Avenue to Kingshighway. After turning left onto Kingshighway, drivers can follow Kingshighway back to the interstate. This work is part of the on-going construction around Tower Grove, where crews are rebuilding four bridges over the interstate and constructing a full interchange between Tower Grove and I-64. Washington University in St. Louis and BJC HealthCare have partnered with the department on the project. Construction is expected to continue until late this year.
