- Neighbor’s business, crossfit Happy Streets, is expanding. They will have an expansion within the same building and more parking. Neighbor offers a free workout class on the last Friday of the month with the code “friend”
- Comment on Newstead is shutting down for road maintenance.
- Comment on Taylor Ave redoing curbs and pedestrian right of way
- Recognition for Great Gathering Event, which was last Saturday

Treasurer’s Report (Evan)
- General Membership dues start over in new year; dues are pay-what-you-can

- Ending Cash is $4,145.38
- Included with the donation from Washington University.
- With leftover beverages, planned to have a get-to-know your neighbor later in October.

Ward 9 Updates (9th Ward Alderman Michael Browning)
- Recognition for the Great Gathering
- Newstead is being repaved
- Taylor is getting new ADA crosswalks and crosswalk painting.
- Taylor has updated parking signs, which means enforcement will begin. Residential parking passes and guest passes can be purchased on https://stlouis.aimsparking.com/
Neighborhood Updates (N.I.S. Ron Coleman)
- Songbird is closing within the neighborhood and moving. Songbird is looking for a larger space within Tower Grove South.
- Complaints about Tow trucks on Boyle and Newstead.
- Bulk pickup is 1 week behind
Neighborhood News & Events (Dan)
- 2026 Association Board Nominations & Elections: We’re looking for residents who want to help move our neighborhood forward! Nominate yourself to be a volunteer Board member on next year’s FPSE Neighborhood Association.
- All positions are open for any resident to nominate themselves.
- Nominees (and to vote) must be a dues-paying member.
- Name/position of a nominee must be made before the end of the October meeting.

- Monthly Litter Clean-up: We’re cleaning up the streets and select alleys throughout the neighborhood! Gloves and bags provided!

- Oktoberfest St. Louis – in the Grove: Two full days of live music, traditional German fare, and most importantly, delicious bier at UBCB in The Grove! Friday and Saturday’s festivities will take place at the Grove Brewery & Bierhall from 12pm-11:30pm each day.

- ALLEY RECYCLING SHIFT: The City of Saint Louis has shifted from alley recycling to Drop-Off Recycling Locations due to extreme levels of contamination in shared alley dumpsters. Recycling drop-off locations have already proven to be a far more effective alternative to shared alley recycling. Drop-off sites are for residential use only and accept single stream recyclables. - MODOT BREAKS GROUND ON ROUTE 100 PROJECT: MoDOT has started its repaving project on Route 100 (Chouteau and Manchester) in the City. This project brings much needed safety improvements – including protected bike lanes that connect to existing cycle tracks. You can learn more about the project here.
- Chouteau Park Native Garden Planting: Phase 2: Help plant more natives at Chouteau Park! This is phase 2 of 3 in which we’re beautifying the southwest corner of the park! Tools will be provided but feel free to bring your own. For further details, email Cammie at: lewis.cammie@gmail.com
