The June Crime Numbers are in and at the 2013 halfway point, there is a crime reduction in all associated categories from last year. In total for 2012, Forest Park Southeast had only 4 months under 30 total crimes. In 2013, the neighborhood has already reached that mark. There has been a 21% drop year-to-date from last year, as the neighborhood has 47 fewer crimes at the half-way point. As for the month of June the neighborhood had 22 total crimes, a 39% reduction from last June’s; 36 total crimes. Key initiatives such as neighborhood bike patrols, citizens patrols, the Neighborhood Ownership Model and block captains has played a significant role in progressing safety in Forest Park Southeast this year…Keep up the great work!
