The following is a traffic alrert from the organizers of the Moonlight Ramble.

Dear Grove Residents,

We hope you’re having a great summer. This year, the Moonlight Ramble, the country’s oldest moonlight bike ride, is taking place in The Grove on the evening of Saturday, August 21st. Riders of all ages and abilities come from all over the region to enjoy the closed streets of St. Louis under the light of the full moon. A portion of the proceeds from the race will go to our Charity Partner: Trailnet. We try our best to minimize any inconveniences that sometimes come with road closures, so we wanted to let you know what to expect that evening.

Moonlight Ramble Schedule

The Moonlight Ramble will take place in The Grove on Saturday, August 21, 2021. The Moonlight Festival will open to our riders at 7 pm and close at the conclusion of the event at 1 am. The Festival Will consist of live music, rider support, a merchandise tent, medical tent and food and drink vendors. The Ramble (ride) will start at 10 pm, leave The Grove, tour Tower Grove Park before heading downtown and back. The course will close to traffic at 9:30 pm and reopen on a rolling schedule with the last of the riders finishing at 1 am.

FPSE Street Closures

Setup will begin around 10 AM on Saturday August 21, and will take place in stages over the course of the afternoon. An event of this size, we expect 2500-3000 riders, will require us to close Manchester Ave. incrementally as the day goes on. Our footprint will stretch from Tower Grove Ave. to Sarah. Road Closures will take place as follows:

  • Manchester between Tower Grove and Boyle – 10 AM Saturday Aug. 21 – 2 AM Sunday Aug. 22
  • Manchester between Boyle and Sarah – 4 pm – 1:30 am
  • Manchester from Chouteau to Grand – 9:30 pm – 1:00 am
  • Vandeventer from Tower Grove Ave to Forest Park Parkway – 9:30 pm – 1:00 am

We will ask that no cars be parked on these sections of Manchester as they close. No parking signs will be placed 24-48 hours in advance to remind residence of the closures.

Tower Grove Ave will remain open throughout the event.
