The always popular IndiHop returns to the area. The Grove and Cherokee Street neighborhoods will be hosting the 2013 IndiHop event with hopes of another great turnout. IndiHop celebrates independent neighborhoods, local businesses, and breweries.
Independent businesses in the Grove and Cherokee Street neighborhoods will offer different tastings of local craft brew, while encouraging attendees to travel up and down respective streets. There will be 50 craft beers to be exact, and each can be found at a different local business along the route. Throughout the event grounds, 12 street performers will be displaying their talents while filling the air with festive sounds. Shuttles will also be provided to take participants between the two neighborhoods.
“We believe it’s one of the coolest beer festivals around, ” said Brooks Goedeker, Community Development Manager for the Grove. “It’s a great opportunity to try many of St. Louis’ craft brews along with taking in over 50 businesses and admiring great historical architecture.”
If that isn’t enough to hook you, then watch this video from last year and see the fun for yourself.
This year IndiHop will be better than ever, with 4 large shuttles as opposed to last year’s 2. Also, an additional 1400 tickets will be offered to participants this year for a total of 2100. Last year the event sold out fast, so make sure you get tickets early and check back often for information.
IndiHop 2013 will be Saturday, June 1 from 12 pm to 5 pm. All participants will receive an IndiHop glass, print booklet, shuttle to and from Cherokee Street and the Grove, and a tasting of over 50 beers!
