May 2019 Crime Review

I have completed my monthly analysis of crime at the neighborhood level, and here is what I found out for the month of May in Forest Park Southeast:

• 12 Total Crimes
  • 63.64% decrease compared to May 2018 (33 crimes)
    • Decreased: assault, auto theft, larceny, rape
    • Increased: robbery
    • No change: arson, burglary, homicide
  • 4 crimes against persons (2 assaults, 2 robberies)
    • 63.63% decrease compared to May 2018 (11 crimes)
  • Crime occurred most frequently on Fridays and Saturdays.
• 83 total crimes so far in 2019
  • 5.06% increase compared to this point in 2018 (79 crimes)
    • Decreased: assault, burglary, homicide, rape
    • Increased: auto theft, larceny, robbery
    • No change: arson
  • 16 crimes against persons so far in 2019
    • 38.46% decrease compared to this point in 2018 (26 crimes)
